Residential Housing Coordinator

Job Description

Residential Housing Coordinator manages the logistics of housing assignments, advises the Interagency Housing Board on regulatory and technical details of assigning housing, liaises on housing matters and waivers, and ensures that housing preparations are carefully coordinated to coincide with the arrival and departure of Embassy employees. Job holder is the logistics liaison for housing. 

  • Maintains and updates a database of vacant homes.
  • Gathers information on new arrivals in order to assign appropriate housing.
  • Works with warehouse supervisor.
  • Oversees performance of contractors, carries out technical reviews, reviews progress, identifies potential issues and recommends actions for amelioration. 
  • Inspects and determines suitability of new leases to be added to the housing pool as necessary.  
  • Job holder coordinates meeting times, sets agendas, attends, and oversees the recording of minutes of meetings.
  • Liaises with Housing Board Members and assists in housing assignment information dissemination.
  • Perform technical evaluations to determine appropriate housing assignments.
  • Maintains and updates a database of vacant homes to match incoming arrivals.
  • Monitors and reviews the results achieved by up to 15 contractors.

Requirements

  • At least two years of college or university studies in general coursework such as business administration, English composition, mathematics, education and other general electives is required.
  • Three years of experience in a customer service atmosphere that includes managing logistics in a real estate, marketing, sales or a customer-oriented business is required.
  • Fluency in Estonian and English.
  • Strong organizational skills and management skills.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
  • A general knowledge of local city real estate laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • The ability to interpret and apply housing policies and regulations is required. 
  • Excellent overall computer skills and basic MS Office use is required. 
  • Numerical skills for manipulating and reporting housing data are required.
  • Must be able to lift weight up to 23 kg to move and relocate heavy objects.
