Your Role & Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day accounting management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records across multiple group companies in accordance with Estonian accounting standards and the group's internal policies
  • Oversee and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Monitor and control cash positions, prepare regular cash flow analysis
  • Coordinate timely vendor payment processes and ensure proper approval workflows
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization and depreciation calculations
  • Ensure proper recording of all financial transactions in the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central)

Period-end closing & financial reporting

  • Lead the full monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process across all group entities
  • Prepare and deliver internal financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) to group management
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and ensure accuracy of consolidation entries
  • Manage accruals, prepayments, and other period-end adjustments in compliance with accounting principles
  • Oversee inventory, stock reconciliations, and goods movement controls
  • Coordinate the preparation of statutory annual reports
  • Support external auditors and serve as the primary local contact for the annual audit process

Tax compliance & statutory reporting

  • Ensure full and timely compliance with all applicable Estonian tax regulations, including VAT, corporate income tax, and social taxes
  • Prepare and submit all required statutory declarations and reports to state authorities (Tax and Customs Board, Statistics Estonia, Eesti Pank, and other relevant institutions)
  • Monitor changes in local tax legislation and implement necessary adjustments to accounting processes
  • Liaise with local authorities and external advisors on tax-related matters

Payroll & HR accounting

  • Oversee payroll calculation and ensure accurate and timely salary payments in line with Estonian labour law
  • Manage related employer obligations, including social and unemployment insurance contributions

Collaboration within the accounting team

  • Work closely within a team of 3–4 accounting professionals, sharing responsibilities and supporting each other across daily tasks and month-end processes
  • Act as the primary finance contact for group management, external partners, and auditors
  • Collaborate with colleagues across finance, operations, and IT to drive process improvements

Participate in ERP and automation initiatives within the finance function

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Chief Accountant or equivalent role; broader accounting experience is welcome
  • Solid knowledge of Estonian accounting standards, tax legislation, and statutory reporting obligations
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems — Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central (NAV) preferred
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, or multi-brand environments is a strong advantage
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and meet tight deadlines
  • Effective team leadership and communication skills
  • Estonian — required (primary working language for institutional communication and daily operations)
  • English — working knowledge required (group communication language)
  • Russian — an advantage
