TECHNICAL MANAGER

Job Description

A Technical Manager’s role is focused on overseeing facility technical systems and laboratory equipment, ensuring their safe operation, maintenance, and compliance. The job includes managing the team, coordinating repairs and qualifications and supporting daily technical operations.

Key responsibilities:
• Ensuring safe and compliant operation of laboratory equipment and technical systems (water, electricity, gases), including maintenance, repairs and minor fixes.
• Managing equipment technicians, planning staffing needs, supporting recruitment and training new employees.
• Organizing equipment qualification according to the regulations and taking part in audits.
• Contributing in budgeting.
• Selecting equipment and arranging ordering spare parts.
• Maintaining and preparing documentation according to company GMP quality management system, preparing instructions, and supporting laboratory staff on equipment and technical systems when necessary.

Requirements

Required and preferred qualifications:
• Higher education in the field of engineering or technical sciences
• Previous work experience in maintenance and repair of technical equipment; basic knowledge of GMP regulations and/or experience in servicing and repairing laboratory or medical equipment
• Experience in team management
• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• Strong time management and prioritization skills with a solution-oriented and proactive approach
• Open communicator who values team work
