Finance Manager [Finantsjuht]
As a finance professional, three things are hard to find together in one role: working inside an international group, controlling a pharmaceutical plant that operates under European medicines regulation, and supporting a company with the ambition to expand. Autonomous in your own domain, part of something that is growing. This role has all three.
You do that as our most senior finance professional in Estonia, at the newest and largest pharmaceutical manufacturer in the country, leading a team of four, with a CFO in the Netherlands who gives you the room to decide and backs you when you do.
The working language is English. Estonian is an advantage, not a requirement.
Your challenge
We have a new plant, a new CFO and the ambition to expand. Finance is not yet where it needs to be for that. Getting it there is your job.
Your first task is to get finance fully in control. Your second is to build the routines that keep it there. Three quarters of your time goes to this: monthly closing for both sites, a clean balance sheet, reliable payables, and a KPI dashboard that is being set up right now. Part of it is still red. You bring it to green and keep it there.
Inventory is your first focus area: stock, valuation and the reporting behind it. This is where you make the fastest visible difference.
You do not start from zero. Our interim finance manager is in place until the end of March 2027. He is setting up processes, job descriptions and the dashboard, and he hands it warmly over to you. Reporting is still partly manual; making it structural is part of the job.
The other quarter you work as a business controller, and that part will grow. Which products carry a lower margin and which a higher one, and what does that mean for what we should produce more of. What does the business case look like for a new production line. What does a change in volume do to our cost base. You bring these analyses to the local management team yourself and challenge the answers.
You lead a team of four who handle accounting, payables, receivables and local tax filings. Developing them is part of the job, and we take that seriously: the same applies to you, starting with the assessment at the beginning of the procedure, which initiates your further development with us.
You report to our group controller in the Netherlands and work closely with our CFO, who is building one finance team across both countries. In practice: you decide locally, you escalate when it matters, and you have a fixed call every two weeks plus the whole team together every one or two months.
You are a sparring partner who is straight about the numbers, also when the message is inconvenient. And you get things done with people: you walk the plant floor to understand what is behind the figures, you sit with the plant manager to agree on what changes, and you take your own team along in building the new routines. Finance in control is as much about people as about numbers, and this role asks for both.
Is this the kind of finance role you are looking for?
Main responsibilities
About Pharmapark and Interchemie
Pharmapark is our pharmaceutical production site in Suur-Sõjamäe, Tallinn: built from 2021, opened in 2024, 50 million euro invested, and certified under European medicines regulation (EU GMP), which means every batch we make is produced and documented to the same standard as human medicines. We produce sterile injectables, oral liquids, water-soluble powders, feed additives and disinfectants for veterinary use. We have the newest pharmaceutical plant in Estonia and, by turnover, the largest.
Since September 2025 Pharmapark is part of Interchemie, a Dutch veterinary pharmaceutical company founded in 1979 and active in Estonia since 1996. In 2025 Interchemie, Kepro, Alfasan and Pharmapark joined forces into one group under the Interchemie name. Together we develop, produce and distribute more than 100 veterinary medicines, nutritionals and disinfectants to over 120 countries, from our headquarters in Waalre and our production sites in the Netherlands and Estonia.
We are investing: in the plant itself, in quality and safety under medicines regulation, and in the people who run it. Lines are short. Decisions are made in a call, not in a committee.
