Job Description
About the role
As a Data Analyst in our Rides Finance team, you’ll build the foundations that enable smarter decision-making across Bolt’s global ride-hailing operations. Your daily work will include building data pipelines and dashboards to unlock new insights, creating and improving financial planning models, and automating manual processes to drive efficiency. One week you might be creating global financial models or analyzing competitors' performance the next, automating global weekly reporting tooling.
This role not only requires technical proficiency and business understanding, but also places a strong emphasis on excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Your strong intuition for business, combined with analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, will play a crucial role in driving the success of this position.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Build, refine, and automate analytical tools, dashboards, and data workflows using SQL, Python, Google Apps Script, spreadsheets, and BI tools
- Work with our dbt models: trace lineage to explain how metrics are built and what they mean to stakeholders, and make well-scoped changes to metrics and marts (new fields, logic updates, tests, documentation)
- Develop financial and operational models to support global growth and efficiency
- Own your analytics project pipeline: collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into data solutions, and deliver high-quality results at pace
- Ensure consistent data quality, standardisation, and documentation across your work
Requirements
- You’ve built analytical tools and data products that scaled across the business, from automated reporting to self-serve analytics, and owned them from requirements through to adoption and measurable business impact
- Proficient in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience in ETL, automation, and data modelling, including a modern transformation framework (e.g. dbt): you can trace how a metric is built and make scoped changes (models, tests, documentation) in a Git-based workflow
- Strong skills in spreadsheets and Google Apps Script, with a passion for clever automation
- You think like an owner: you prioritise ruthlessly, communicate clearly, and manage your own projects
Nice to have
- Experience in financial modelling and/or a fast-paced tech environment is a plus
Company offers
- Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
- Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you.
- Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.
- Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge.
- Connect with colleagues at annual company events and smaller team gatherings.
- Balance flexibility and in-person collaboration with our hybrid model, including at least 12 monthly in-office days.
