Job Description
About Bolt
Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.
From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than 1bn in funding.
And we're just getting started.
About the role
At Bolt, Product Analysts are embedded directly into product teams, partnering with Product, Engineering and Data Science to identify opportunities, shape decisions and measure impact.
In the Platform**Product group**, we support products and capabilities that are built once centrally and used across Bolt. Within the Platform group, **Geo** domain builds the location intelligence behind how people and goods move 6 including routing, ETAs, search, maps, live traffic and navigation. One of Geos biggest bets is **Bolt Navigation**, our in-house turn-by-turn navigation experience built directly into the Bolt Driver app. Were creating navigation around the specific needs of drivers today, with the potential to serve couriers and other Bolt use cases in the future.
As a **Senior Product Analyst in the Geo domain**, youl work on some of our most complex product analytics problems. What makes a route good? Why do drivers follow or deviate from a suggested route? Which real-world signals from drivers can improve our maps? And how do small improvements to a journey translate into marketplace impact at Bolts scale? Youl be a thought partner to Product Managers, Engineers and Data Scientists 6 helping the team understand users, define success, discover opportunities, design experiments and decide what to build next.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Define what great navigation looks like: develop metrics and measurement frameworks across navigation quality, adoption, route quality, ETA accuracy, traffic, driver behaviour and the end-to-end journey.
- Turn complex geospatial data into product insights: work with large-scale GPS, routing, search, map and behavioural data to understand what happens in the real world and where our products can improve.
- Lead product discovery and deep dives: turn ambiguous questions into structured analyses, uncover root causes, size opportunities and translate findings into clear product recommendations.
- Design and evaluate experiments: partner with product teams on experiment design and analysis, and use appropriate statistical or causal methods when conventional A/B testing is not enough.
- Build learning loops around our products: connect product behaviour, driver feedback, experiments and marketplace outcomes to help Geo continuously improve routing, navigation and map quality.
- Own measurement from discovery to launch and beyond: define success criteria before launches, ensure the right instrumentation is in place, evaluate results and identify the next iteration.
Requirements
- You have strong experience in Product Analytics, Data Science or a similarly analytical product role, ideally within a technology or product company.
- You have excellent product thinking and are comfortable taking an ambiguous product problem, structuring it and determining what evidence is needed to make a decision.
- You can rank your SQL skills as outstanding and Python/R experience as profound.
- You can prove your ability to lead experimentation: applied statistics, designing and analysing experiments, providing recommendations.
- You have strong business and product judgement. You can move from detailed analysis to the bigger question of what should we do differently as a result?
- Your verbal and written communication skills are outstanding and you are fluent in English.
