What is the project about?
Since 2018,Proekspert collaborates with a leading globalHVACmanufacturerto design, build, and run the Cloud platform behind their connected devices.
The solutionkeeps tens of thousands of devices connected in realtime. The clientstechnicians and end-usersgetround-the-clock control, monitoring, and performance insight. The platform has been a business-criticalcomponentin production for years.Behindit is a demanding, high-throughput backendthat handlesthousands of requests per secondinrealtime. Keeping a mission-critical system reliable at scale takesresilience and quality engineering.The team handles its continuous development, new functionality, maintenance, and 3rdlevel support.

What will you do?
- Own features end to end, from technical analysis and solution design at the early request stage through delivery. Stand behind their quality, fit for purpose and long-term maintainability.
- Drive software design and architecture for a scalable, secure platform. Consult the client on the best technical solution for what the project actually needs.
- Build and run global live services, setting up, configuring, and maintaining the solution in Azure. Applying DevOps practices to new and existing services.
- Ensure quality through automated tests. There is no separate manual QA, so every engineer stands behind their own work.
- Monitor systems proactively. Flag and resolve issues or improvements before they become problems.
- Plan, propose, and implement new features. Communicate directly with the client on the features you own.
- Help shape the teams technical direction by challenging assumptions and proposing best solutions.
- Use AI tooling to draft, generate, test, or summarise while reviewing the result and owning every decision yourself.
Requirements
- Has 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, including at least 4 years of hands-on development in .NET and C#.
- Has strong software design and architecture experience. Is able to reason about their decisions.
- Has comprehensive practical knowledge of MS Azure and is able to propose architecture, set up the platform, and implement changes and updates.
- Has worked with distributed systems and has the appetite for large and complex ones.
- Can self-prioritize, make decisions independently, and support the teams shared decisions.
- Chooses and utilizes the right tools, including AI tooling, to get the best result while owning the decisions.
- Has excellent cooperation and communication skills while being able to consultatively approach the client. Can present, explain, and defend a point of view.
- Is fluent in English and Estonian.
