Job Description

Position summary: The R&D group is seeking a highly motivated experienced Principal Scientist to lead projects in the field of antibody-based therapeutics development – mainly in the field of oncology. The candidate is expected to have 3-5 years of relevant postgraduate academic or industry experience. Background in cell biology, cellular and molecular immunology or protein engineering is expected. The candidate will
be responsible for independent design and implementation of hypothesis-based research and team management and leadership. The candidate is expected to support internal and external collaborative research projects. Role responsibilities include:
- Work within a matrix organization to develop
antibody and/or cell-based therapeutic
approaches against various indications.
- Provide scientific and team leadership and
project management expertise but also
contribute to the advancement of internal or
external collaborative projects. Create and
track personal and team objectives.
- Provide insights into the mechanisms of
action of developed immunotherapies and
respective disease biology.
- Design and implement short- and long-term
experimental project plans, interpret
experimental data and define safety, efficacy,
mechanisms of action and developability
profiles.
- Establish novel state-of-the-art techniques
and assays for functional analysis of
immunotherapy candidates ex vivo/in vitro.
- Document all research activities and
summarize data in progress reports. Internal
and external data presentation.
- Manage and provide team leadership.

Requirements

Required qualifications:
- The candidate is expected to have a PhD or
similar experience in the field of cell biology,
immunology, oncology, translational
research, or a related field.
- The position requires a minimum of 10 years
of relevant hands-on wet lab research
experience and a strong track record
including publications and/or evidence of
research output.
- A thorough skillset in a wide range of state- of-the-art molecular and cell biology techniques, including primary cell based
assays and in-vivo assay design.
- Basic understanding of cancer biology and
treatment, and novel immunotherapies.
- Proactive, constructive, well-organized and
able to think critically and solve problems
independently.
- Be able to communicate research effectively in written and oral English.
