As an Materials Testing Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass
- Perform precise magnetic property measurements of sintered NdFeB magnets, including parameters such as remanence (Br), coercivity (Hc), maximum energy product (BHmax), and magnetic anisotropy.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate advanced magnetic measurement instruments such as hysteresisgraphs, Helmholtz coils, and fluxmeters.
- Analyze magnetic test data to assess material performance and ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
- Develop and refine magnetic measurement protocols tailored to the specific properties of sintered NdFeB magnets.
- Investigate the effects of material composition, microstructure, and processing parameters on magnetic performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to enhance product performance and process consistency.
- Troubleshoot magnetic measurement equipment and test methods to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Generate detailed technical reports, summarizing test results, performance trends, and recommendations for improvements.
- Contribute to the development of new sintered NdFeB products by providing insights into magnetic performance and material behavior.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC standards) and maintain meticulous records of all test procedures and results
- Stay updated on advancements in analytical techniques and their applications in the NdFeB industry.

Required Skills/Abilities and Experience:
- Master’s degree education in Physics, Material Science, Mechanical Engineer or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in magnetic property testing, preferably with sintered NdFeB or similar materials.
- Strong understanding of magnetic principles, including hard magnetic properties, hysteresis, and domain behavior.
- Experience with microstructural analysis techniques, such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM) or X-ray diffraction (XRD), and their correlation with magnetic properties.
- Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) for magnetic field modeling and simulation.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Familiarity with sintered NdFeB magnet manufacturing processes, including powder metallurgy and grain alignment techniques, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and statistical evaluation of test results.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to analytical instrumentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Fluent in English, additionally Russian or/and Estonian.
