- Partner with Product, Analytics, and Operations to define safety metrics, guide priorities, and measure impact.
- Define and drive the team roadmap, making pragmatic tradeoffs between risk coverage, complexity, and global vs. local needs.
- Create a team setup that enables predictable delivery, good engineering quality, and healthy collaboration.
- Drive individual 1-1s to mentor and coach Software Engineers to develop skills and uncover their potential.
- Communicate context and decisions clearly to engineers, stakeholders, and leadership.
Requirements
- You have experience owning a product or platform area end-to-end, and can handle ambiguity narrowing open problem spaces and moving teams from discussion to decisions.
- You have 5+ years of hands-on software development experience and a deep understanding of how to write maintainable, performant systems.
- You have strong backend engineering fundamentals, with the ability to review and challenge designs across backend services, mobile integration, and data/ML systems.
