Sourcing Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Sourcing Manager for the Stora Enso Logistics Sea Sourcing team

As a Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing of Sea Services, mainly breakbulk and port services. You will be involved in the process from data collection, collect and evaluate the bids, select suppliers, contracting and managing supplier relationships. Together with others in the team, you ensure to optimize the contracts, while meeting business need.

About the position

  • Handle sourcing of Sea Services, with focus on breakbulk and port services

  • Meet purchase requests from business units in timely and professional manner, and suggest improvements as needed to make best commercial sourcing while meeting business needs

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business needs

  • Secure superior knowledge of assigned sub-categories e.g. by monitor and benchmark shipping and markets trends and best practices

  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate & select suppliers to secure competitive rates and agreed service levels

  • Communicate the results of completed sourcing in easy accessible and systematic way

  • Track supplier performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives

  • Management of supplier relationships, including Identify, selection, execution, contracting, risk management, development, and sustainability

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, understand their needs and strategic directions. Capture cross-mills/business areas synergies

  • Work closely with logistics operations team during contract implementation and execution

  • Assess and manage risks related to supply chain disruptions, geopolitical factors, and sustainability requirements

  • Draft, review, and manage contracts ensuring compliance

Requirements

About you

You can maintain professional behaviour, effectiveness, accuracy, and co-operation despite pressure. Qualifications

  • Collage/University degree in relevant area (engineering/technical or economics/finance)

  • 7+ years working experience within logistics/sourcing/supply chain with focus on strategic sourcing

  • Deep understanding of breakbulk market, port operations, and international trade regulations

  • Awareness of sustainability practices and compliance standards in maritime logistics

  • Strong supplier relations skills, strong negotiating skills and thorough understanding of supplier market and key drivers

  • Solid analytical skills. Able to define and understand the most critical issues, strategically and operationally, and to set and manage structure

  • Good communication skills

  • Proactive, result oriented, willing to take initiative and responsibility

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel

  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to build relationships both internally and externally with various parts of the organization

  • Performance oriented and ability to deliver against set targets and deadlines
