We are looking for a Process Design Engineer to support the design and engineering of industrial process systems. The role focuses on core process calculations and deliverables including pump selection, process documentation (PFD/P&ID), and instrument/equipment sizing to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
Key responsibilities
• Perform process calculations: flow, mass balance, velocity, pressure drop, line sizing, and hydraulic checks• Select and size pumps (duty point, NPSH, curves, efficiency, margins) and specify pump datasheets• Develop and update PFDs and P&IDs in line with project standards• Select and size key instruments and control elements (flow/pressure/level/temperature measurement, control valves)• Prepare equipment and instrument datasheets, line lists, and process design notes• Define operating/design cases, utilities requirements, and control philosophies as needed• Coordinate with piping, mechanical, E&I, and HSE disciplines; participate in design reviews (HAZID/HAZOP if applicable)• Support vendor technical evaluations and clarify technical queries during procurement
