Project Manager – Shipbuilding & Refit

About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead and oversee shipbuilding and refit projects from concept through to completion. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, liaise with clients, shipyards, and suppliers, and drive efficiency in all aspects of project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead shipbuilding and refit projects from planning to delivery.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
• Ensure compliance with classification society requirements, flag state regulations, and company standards.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and implement corrective measures where required.
• Report regularly on project status to senior management and clients.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or refit project management.
• Strong knowledge of marine regulations, classification societies, and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with strict deadlines.
• Use of the following programs in work: Smartsheet, MS Project, Auto CAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion 360
