MYP Math teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IB MYP Mathematics Teacher to join our vibrant faculty. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic educator who embraces the IB philosophy and is committed to inspiring students through conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and mathematical inquiry.

Role & Responsibilities

As an IB MYP Math Teacher, you will:

• Teach Math in Grades 6–8.
• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based mathematics lessons that promote logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and real-world applications.
• Guide students in developing key mathematical skills, including critical thinking, modeling, and data interpretation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum materials that align with IB standards and best teaching practices.
• Utilize modern teaching strategies and integrate technology to enhance mathematical understanding and engagement.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to think creatively and take intellectual risks.
• Provide individualized feedback and support to help students reach their full academic potential.
• Participate in extracurricular math-related activities, such as competitions, clubs, or problem-solving workshops.
• Engage in professional development to stay current with IB methodologies and educational trends.
• Take advantage of future opportunities to teach IB DP Mathematics as the program continues to grow.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field.
• Valid teaching certification and/or qualifications.
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics in the IB or international school context.
• A strong understanding of concept-based and inquiry-driven approaches to mathematics teaching and learning.
