Manager, Controlling Services

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Controller and people leader to lead a Business Area dedicated team of controllers in our centralized Finance Operations organization in Tallinn, Estonia. You will ensure high-quality delivery of controlling and financial reporting services, act as a trusted business partner to Business Areas finance leadership, and drive continuous improvement across processes and people.

This is a people management role with broad scope — combining operational excellence, stakeholder management, and a strong focus on talent development and process efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Operate as Team Lead for centralized finance operations controllers, providing clear direction, coaching, and day-to-day leadership

• Ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality delivery of controlling and financial reporting services — covering closing, analysis, reporting and forecasting — to dedicated Business Area and underlying Business Units

• Act as business partner for Business Area Finance stakeholders, ensuring business proximity, smooth collaboration, and timely information flow on controlling and financial reporting topics

• Serve as the key contact point for internal stakeholders on controlling service delivery, development needs, and issue resolution

• Foster strong, trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their needs and ensuring service delivery meets or exceeds expectations

• Enable talent development and drive a positive, high-performance culture within the team

• Lead and enable development initiatives, including process efficiency improvements, harmonization, and automation activities

• Ensure Finance processes and policies are consistently implemented and applied across the team

• Monitor and follow up on service performance based on defined KPIs and SLAs

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in controlling, management reporting, or accounting — ideally within shared services or centralized finance operations

• Proven experience in operative team management, talent development, and people leadership

• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills

• Business partnering and customer-oriented mindset with the ability to influence in a matrix organization in an international environment

• Strong understanding of controlling processes (entity closing, operative financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting) and a track record of driving process improvements

• Analytical approach with the capability to work both at a detailed task level and on broader strategic concepts

• Hands-on experience with controlling tools and analytics platforms such as Excel, SAP, OneStream, or Power BI

• Change management and continuous improvement mindset

• Excellent fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
