Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IB MYP IT Teacher to join our vibrant faculty in August 2026. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic educator who embraces the IB philosophy and is committed to inspiring students through conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and mathematical inquiry.

As a part-time IT Teacher, you will:

  • Teach coding and digital skills as part of the IB Middle Years programme, in collaboration with Teachease (Finnish Coding School).
  • Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that develop computational thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Teach programming with a strong focus on Python.
  • Guide students in applying coding skills to real-world and interdisciplinary contexts.
  • Foster creativity, logical thinking, and responsible use of technology.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners (Teachease) to ensure high-quality programme delivery.
  • Integrate modern tools and innovative teaching approaches to enhance learning experiences.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages experimentation and innovation.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive, individualized feedback.
  • Contribute to school initiatives and interdisciplinary projects.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching coding or IT in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Python programming.
  • Experience with IB programmes or international education is an advantage.
