Continuing Airworthiness Manager

Job Description

This is a full time, permanent role with the following responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure that maintenance of all aircraft is performed in accordance with the approved AMP and in airworthy condition;
  • Ensure that maintenance activity is carried out on time, in accordance with policies, standards and approved procedures contained in the CAME;
  • Ensure that the management of safety and security risks to aircraft maintenance operations;
  • Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with conditions and restrictions of the AOC, and in compliance with applicable regulations and NyxAir standards;
  • Has the authority to make decisions regarding risk tolerability with respect to the safety and/or security of aircraft operations;
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, original equipment manufacturers and other operationally relevant external entities;
  • Ensure the certificate of airworthiness remains valid for each aircraft;
  • Ensure that CAME at all times complies with prescribed guidelines/ procedures and/or any directives issued by the authority;
  • Ensure all development and updates to CAME shall observe human factor principles;
  • Ensure that all aircraft documentation is adequate and properly preserved;
  • Ensure the CMM and any Authority access to all documents/ records pertaining to the CAMO and produce, within a reasonable time period, all such documents and records when necessary;
  • Ensure the aircraft is taken to an appropriately approved maintenance organisation whenever necessary;
  • Coordination of scheduled maintenance, the application of airworthiness directives, the replacement of service life limited parts, and component inspection to ensure the work is carried out properly;
  • Ensure all defects discovered during scheduled maintenance or reported are corrected by an appropriately approved maintenance organisation with approved maintenance data;
  • Ensure any operational and emergency equipment fitted is correctly installed and serviceable;
  • Ensure non-management positions in aircraft airworthiness functions are filled by personnel on the basis of knowledge, skills, training and experience appropriate for the position.
  • Ensure all personnel maintain an awareness of the Safety Management System;
  • Ensure all safety-critical information is conveyed;
  • Ensure each aircraft type reliability program analysis is completed as required;
  • manage the modifications and repairs in accordance with approved data and airworthiness requirements;
  • ensure the mass and balance statement reflects the current status of the aircraft;
  • establishment of written maintenance contract between the operator and a Part-145 approved organisations;
  • ensure holding and use applicable current maintenance data in performance of continuing airworthiness tasks;

Requirements

  • Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices;
  • 5 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 2 years should be from the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position;
  • A comprehensive knowledge of:
    • relevant parts of operational requirements and procedures;
    • the NyxAir's operations specifications when applicable;
    • the need for, and content of, the relevant parts of the NyxAir's operations manual when applicable.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Part-CAMO regulations;
    • Human Factor principles;
    • Maintenance methods;
    • Safety management systems based on the EU management system;
    • Requirements (including compliance monitoring) and ICAO Annex 19;
    • Quality systems.
  • Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices;
  • 5 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 2 years should be from the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position;
  • A relevant engineering degree or an aircraft maintenance technician qualification with additional education acceptable to TRAM;
  • Knowledge of a relevant sample of the type(s) of aircraft gained through a formalized training course;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in english language (estonian and/or russian language skills would be advantageous);
  • Excellent planning, analytical and probleem-solving skills;
  • Good computer literacy.
