Engineering Manager

ABB Compact Secondary Substation Factory is looking for an Engineering team manager to join our Engineering and Factory Management Team

• Managing, monitoring and coaching a team of 8-10 engineers
• Large scale problem solving, supervision, scoping, and delivering multiple technical projects in parallel from concept to production
• Owning the delivery of products to market on time, in budget and at the targeted performance
• Developing and reporting performance metrics for the electrical and mechanical engineering team
• Maintaining high level of communications with cross-functional team, and partners
• Recruiting and developing team members
• Evaluating and identifying improvements to the overall design processes
Expctations:
• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (or similar field)
• 3 + years of experience in electrical design, 1+ years of management experience
• Familiar with industry standard CAD design tools, industry trends, and design for manufacturability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a engineers team
• Experience with the project management of technical projects
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Experience managing challenging assignments with aggressive schedules
