Accountant

We are seeking an Accountant based in Estonia to join our growing fintech and payments team. This is a remote role where you will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with Estonian and EU financial regulations, and prepare accurate reports for management.

Alongside traditional accounting duties such as bookkeeping, VAT filings, payroll, and reconciliations, you will also take responsibility for monitoring accounts receivable and professionally following up with overdue clients. This role requires accuracy, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 2+ years of accounting experience in Estonia

• Strong knowledge of Estonian accounting regulations, VAT, and reporting standards

• Proficiency in accounting software (Merit Aktiva, Directo, or similar)

• Familiarity with the Estonian e-Tax/e-Customs system (MTA)

• Strong communication skills in Estonian and English

• Ability to manage deadlines, organize tasks, and follow up on overdue payments
