About the Role

We are looking for an accountant who will take ownership of the company’s accounting.

You will be responsible for keeping the company’s financial records accurate, compliant, and well organized, while ensuring that management has clear and reliable financial information.

This role requires someone who is comfortable running accounting operations independently and who can look beyond routine tasks to understand what the numbers mean for the business.

Responsibilities

You will be the primary person responsible for the company’s full-cycle accounting, including bookkeeping, tax compliance, payroll accounting, and financial reporting.
This includes maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing and submitting tax declarations, managing month-end and year-end closing, and preparing the annual report.
You will also ensure that financial information remains clear and reliable for the company’s management by preparing financial summaries, highlighting important trends, and identifying potential financial risks.
In addition, you will take ownership of accounting processes and improve them when necessary to keep financial operations clear and reliable.

Requirements

At least 3 years of accounting experience (5+ years preferred)
Experience handling full-cycle accounting
Good understanding of Estonian accounting and tax rules, including VAT reporting and annual reports
Strong Excel skills and ability to work with financial data
Ability to work independently and take ownership of accounting operations
Comfortable explaining financial numbers and raising issues when something looks wrong
Professional working proficiency in Estonian and English
