Global Strategy & Operations Manager, Bolt Food

Occasional remote work possibility

Job Description

This is a high-impact, visible role. As a Manager in Global Strategy & Operations, you'll support the VP of Bolt Food and the Bolt Food Management Team, augmenting their capacity by taking on the problems that are critically important to how we run Bolt Food. One month you're defining what Bolt Food stands for in every market we operate in. The next you're in a major European capital, working out why growth stalled and fixing it with the local team.

You'll need expert communication skills, an analytical mindset, commercial acumen and real intellectual horsepower to help propel us through our next stage of growth.

Global Strategy & Operations is a deliberately small team reporting to the Global Head of Strategy & Operations. We are hiring a very small number of exceptional people rather than building a large team; this is a role for someone capable of genuinely outsized impact, and we will hold the bar accordingly. The role involves regular travel to our markets, typically 25–30% of your time.

The team is designed as a talent incubator, offering broad business exposure and a path into senior commercial or operational roles across Bolt.

  • Own Bolt Food's highest-priority problems end to end, usually two or three at a time, each lasting anywhere from a fortnight to a quarter. You'll define the question, do the analysis, form a view, get buy-in, and see it through to execution.
  • Do the analysis yourself. You'll pull the data, build the model, and stress-test your own conclusions before anyone else does. We don't have an army of analysts for you to delegate to, and we like it that way.
  • Turn strategy into things that ship. You will be accountable for shipping these initiatives, creating impact, and owning the result.
  • Spot what nobody is looking at. A good Global Strategy & Operations Manager brings problems to the Bolt Food Management Team proactively as often as they receive them.
  • Communicate with clarity. Produce executive-ready materials, present recommendations confidently to senior stakeholders, and build alignment without formal authority.

Requirements

  • You have proven experience in strategy consulting at top consulting companies, investment banking / private equity, or an operating role at a fast-growing technology company.
  • You own things end to end. You're not looking for a role where you hand over a recommendation and move on. You want to define the problem, do the work, land the decision, and be accountable for whether it actually worked.
  • Strong commercial judgement. You can look at a messy situation, work out which two numbers actually matter, and be roughly right quickly rather than precisely right too late.
  • You write and communicate difficult concepts and topics in simple, clear terms.
  • You can influence without authority. You can land in a local market and make an impact quickly without managing anyone you need to bring with you.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and pace, with the agency and resilience to match. Things do not go to plan in this industry. When a quarter goes badly, you pick yourself up for the next one.
  • You are AI-native. You already use AI to compress your own work and can point to real outcomes from it, and you know when to trust it and when human judgment is irreplaceable. You don't outsource your thinking to it.
  • You are highly numerate, with strong analytical instincts and real attention to detail. Before AI, you would have confidently built the model yourself — that underlying rigour is what we're testing for.
  • You think big picture. Faced with several workstreams at once, you can step back and prioritise the right ones without being told, and you understand how your work ladders into company priorities.
  • You have no ego about the work. In a team of this size, the same person does the analysis, the stakeholder management, and the unglamorous execution.

Company offers

  • Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
  • Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you.
  • Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.
  • Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge.
  • Connect with colleagues at annual company events and smaller team gatherings.
  • Balance flexibility and in-person collaboration with our hybrid model, including at least 12 monthly in-office days.
