Space Team Product Owner

The space team in Datel is oriented towards developing innovative products based on remote sensing data. We are looking for a new team member with Agile mindset, who will be ensuring that the development team delivers valuable features (including Datel's new product for illegal construction detection for Spanish market) that meet stakeholder needs.

What you will be doing:

• Managing the Product Backlog

Creating, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog to ensure it reflects the most valuable features and improvements.

• Collaborating with the Development Team

Providing clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and being available for guidance during the development process.

• Communication with ESA

European Space Agency (ESA) funds product development. Your responsibility is to create needed documents and communicate with ESA.

• Ensuring Product Quality and Value

Overseeing the product's quality to ensure it meets desired standards and delivers maximum value to users.

• Engaging with Stakeholders

Gathering feedback, understanding needs, and managing expectations from all relevant stakeholders.

• Defining and Communicating Product Vision

Articulating the product's goals, objectives, and roadmap to align stakeholders and the development team.

Alongside the above-mentioned responsibilities, you will have the chance to contribute new project ideas as well as propose and implement solutions to Datel's existing customers.

REQUIRED EXPIRENCES AND SKILLS

• Visual prototyping

Experience in visual prototyping, including the creation of mockups/prototypes that effectively illustrate application functionalities and user flows.

• Business Processes Modelling

Experience with business process modeling tools (such as Microsoft Visio). Experience in developing process diagrams, workflows, and other visual representations that facilitate business analysis and process optimization.

• Backlog Management

Experience in creating and maintaining a product backlog in project management software like Jira. Experience in writing user stories, and defining acceptance criteria to guide development efforts.

• Experience with Agile Methodologies

Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, including participation in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Stakeholder Engagement

Proven track record of working closely with stakeholders to understand user needs, manage stakeholders expectations and incorporate feedback effectively.

• Cross-Functional Team Collaboration

Background in working with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA engineers, to ensure alignment and successful delivery of features.

• Decision-Making

Demonstrated ability to make informed and timely decisions based on business priorities, technical constraints, and user needs.

• Problem-Solving

Proven skills in identifying issues and finding effective solutions to keep the project on track and deliver value.

• English speaking

Be proficient in English orally and in writing.

• Product Management

Experience in managing product lifecycles, from concept through delivery, including creating roadmaps, and prioritizing features.

• Experience working with spatial data, such as satellite imagery.
• Experience in creating dashboard with business intelligence tools (such as Power BI).
• Knowing Spanish and/or Estonian language.
• Experience with prompting large language models (such as ChatGPT).
