This summer, Germany’s first Schulz hotel will open its doors in Berlin’s new, hip quarter at East Side Gallery. This latest coup by the Meininger Hotel founders will offer travelers not just a hotel but a home. Past and future collide at the longest remaining section of the old Berlin Wall to engender something great: 350 individual guestrooms, an exciting food concept and a large beer garden. Young and old, locals and travelers from all over the world come together here.
Schulz thus is not your usual hotel. And that’s why we are looking for people who "tick" a bit differently – you!

We are looking for an addition to our Kitchen Crew; someone who can start on 1 August 2018 to support us already during the hotel’s challenging pre-opening phase. Someone who will delight our guests and team alike. Someone who not only understands the processes but also understands the message behind our concept. Recruitment condition: We can only reach our goals outside of our comfort zone – and we love it!

We are looking for someone who doesn’t want to be just a small cog in a large wheel, but rather someone who will assume economic and social responsibility – someone who not only participates but also shapes!

Your responsibilities:
• Together we bring a smile to the face of our guests
• We listen to our guests and try to be the host that we would want as a guest
• We jointly create an environment in which team members can evolve and our team grows closer
• Careful preparation of all meals and dealing sustainably with all foodstuffs
• Offering competent advice and hospitality to our guests
• Maintaining personal and direct communication with our guests and dealing effectively with complaints
• Love of cooking and a host through and through
• Affinity to gastronomy – especially to the kitchen
• High level of commitment and independent mode of working
• Quality consciousness and attention to detail
• Good, hands-on English skills
• Well-groomed and professional demeanor
• Providing active support and carrying out of F&B promotions
• Active cooperation in all areas of the operative business
