Full Stack Freelance Web Developer with WordPress Experience (home-based)

White Clarke Group is looking for an experienced freelance web developer to join our global Marketing department. We are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do and enjoys working within a small team to create meaningful digital experiences.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for:
• Working on several development improvement projects including multilingual updates to improve the existing company website offerings
• Developing and maintaining the company’s and subsidiaries’ websites.
• Developing future stand-alone event websites
• Optimising existing website offerings to improve SEO, usability, accessibility and platform/browser compatibility

• Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritise tasks for each
• Passion for innovation, new technologies and web trends
• Creative personality and an artistic eye for detail
• Ability to provide examples of front and back-end web development using JavaScript, PHP, HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience of building content-managed websites using WordPress CMS
• A demonstrated track record of delivering projects on tight deadlines

Essential Technical Skill & Experience:
• Min 5 years’ experience with: full stack technologies, front and back-end (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript – JQuery, AJAX)
• Experience with popular CSS pre-processors (e.g. Sass, LESS) and frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Foundation)
• WordPress CMS
• Database familiarity (MySQL)
• LAMP administration & configuration
• Linux Ubuntu
• Version Control – Git/BitBucket

Desirable Skills & Experience:
• WordPress theme and plugin development
• Experience with system design/architecture, security and reporting
• Mobile App Development
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
• Capable of collaborating with designers to build interactive prototypes
