Technology specialist

Thunder Said Energy is a research firm focused on energy technologies and energy transition, based in Kadriorg, working with some of the largest corporations and investment firms in the world. We are looking for a “Technology Specialist” to enhance our internal processes and help us continue growing our business. The role reports directly to the CEO.

Salary: €3,500-6,000 depending on prior experience and performance, plus bonuses linked to the continued growth of the business.

The candidate must be fluent in English, based in Tallinn, have at least 2-10 years of prior experience in IT, web development, and ideally working with Wordpress, the Microsoft product suite, Excel VBA, SQL/PHP/Javascript, and in a hands-on start-up environment. Initial responsibilities are listed below. 

• Map and understand TSE “processes” 
• Participate in weekly team meetings
• Monitor and improve website security
• Develop crisis management plans
• Monitor and improve site performance
• Monitor and improve SEO performance
• Ensure ongoing GDPR compliance
• Respond to clients’ technical requests
• Resolve client email deliverability issues 
• Enhance website “look and feel”, including video content and images
• Automate internal processes
• Automate mailing list logs
• Automate monthly tracker files
• Automate client deactivation processes
• Rebuild website’s email server/DMARC
• Develop watermarking features
• Appraise economic costs/benefits (eg dedicated server vs shared server)
• Develop enhanced website notifications
• Integrate AI with ongoing TSE processes
• General IT Support for Team TSE
