The Engineering team builds the software powering Veriff. We're cracking the online identity crisis in a scalable way, deploying excellence to keep Veriff on the cusp of innovation. It's a fast-paced market with many challenges. We need new talent on board to help us fill the gaps - bringing new ways of thinking into the team and, therefore, new possibilities.
Our Data Platform team is seeking an experienced software engineer to join their team, which is responsible for managing the database infrastructure, and playing a key role in ensuring the performance and reliability of Veriff systems. You will be focused on building database management and deployment tooling, background processing tools and making sure Software Engineers within the company have a good experience when interacting with our database platform. You’ll become part of a team of five who share a passion for database development and supporting our engineering organisation.
You’ll help us protect honest people online by:
• Maintaining and improving database infrastructure management tooling (mostly Python).
• Working on background processing infrastructure.
• Maintaining and improving database deployment tooling.
• Making sure the developer experience for database users is top-notch.
• Ensuring the scalability and reliability of the data layer
• Writing Terraform modules and configuring the infrastructure
• Participating in on-call shifts

Requirements
• Experience with Python
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
• Experience with networking
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with large databases (e.g. we use PostgreSQL) and complex replication patterns
• Fluency in both written and spoken English

• Experience with Temporal, and/or Database CI
