Job Description

• Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large scale projects according to Swedbanks’ development process;
• Ensure that your projects meet decided requirements and objectives;
• Engage with stakeholders.


• At least 5-10 years professional experience, ideally within financial services and/or top management consulting;
• A sound understanding of the IT drivers in the banking industry;
• Proven track record in managing strategic projects;
• Experience of managing major initiatives with multi-culture aspects;
• University degree or equal experience or education;
• Is open to new approaches and alternative means in order to accomplish results despite setbacks;
• Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation;
• Ability to solve conflicts;
• Written and oral English skills;
• Project management skills;
• People management skills.

Group IT is the group wide IT organisation including both the Swedish and Baltic IT organizations. Group IT goals are to increase business alignment, improve the deliveries and the availability of our IT functions and services and at the same time improve Swedbank efficiency. Group IT is currently in the transformation phase.

Common Business Technology (CBT) is a unit within Group IT. CBT key role is to take responsibility for common services that are used by many and to represent group wide requirements.

Main responsibilities of Common Business Technology, with respect to common services, are strategic planning for services, service roadmap management, service requirements management, service performance management and business user consultation and guidance.

Common Services in CBT can be mainly attributed to the following areas:
• Digital touch points through which employees and customers interact with the bank and its systems and for the internal digital workplaces.
• Common services that are related to the creation, storage and retrieval of documents and for services that enable communication for employees and customers.
• Common services that are related to electronic identities of customers and employees and for common services that enable processes, work and resources to be tracked and optimized.

The primary purpose of the position is lead, coordinate and follow up major projects, programs and initiatives within CBT.
