Senior Java Engineer

Our company is building a local team in Estonia to work on a SaaS application. We have a production SaaS application written in Java with an Oracle backend but moving to Postgres. The app was written several years ago and we are now adding a REST API with a new Angular front end to get off old JSP UI tech. We are moving this application forward and there are many opportunities to convert database, API, and UI layers.

We would like to build a core team first with 2 senior Java developers (€4200-€4400 month), 2 junior Java developers (€2600-€2800 month), and 2 software development test engineers (SDET) (€2600-€2800 month).

You will need to coordinate with a U.S. team in Eastern time (EST) in English. This does not mean working until midnight. However 2-3 days per week there will be EST morning meetings until about 18:00 local time (EET). We are trying to balance a normal work schedule, so meetings will be early morning EST and end at a reasonable time EET.

We are looking for engineers with skills in Angular, Java, unit testing, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, etc. We are moving the SaaS product from an in-house data center to AWS, so there are also opportunities in Teraform, EC2, Docker and other AWS technologies.

We are wanting to have office space in Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, Viljandi or another city if there are team members that need to meet and collaborate. However there is no requirement to always be in-office. Flexible work hours and flexable location are acceptable.
