Job Description
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Global Operations Manager to improve how Bolt Food’s merchant organisation operates across all segments and markets. This is a central, global individual-contributor role that turns commercial priorities and business targets into scalable operating frameworks, propositions, processes, playbooks, and tools.
You will connect strategy with execution by aligning Product, Commercial, Finance, Strategy & Analytics, and local teams; enabling Account Management teams; and driving consistent adoption across markets. While commercial outcomes remain primarily owned by the relevant functional and market teams, you will be accountable for the quality, execution, adoption, and scalability of the frameworks that enable stronger merchant retention, operational efficiency, revenue quality, and profitability.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Translate business targets, strategic priorities, and recurring market challenges into scalable global frameworks, operating models, playbooks, guardrails, and success measures.
- Strengthen Account Management infrastructure by partnering with Strategy & Analytics and commercial owners on KPI frameworks, incentive schemes, segmentation principles, portfolio prioritisation, and performance-management processes.
- Spearhead the operational design, launch, and scaling of merchant investment channels and enablement propositions, ensuring products, workflows, governance, and roadmaps reflect merchant and Account Management needs.
- Turn propositions into executable processes, tooling, training, communications, and market playbooks, while removing rollout barriers and driving consistent adoption.
- Lead complex cross-functional programmes from problem definition through rollout and continuous improvement, establishing clear governance, milestones, ownership, risk management, and escalation paths.
- Align central and local stakeholders without formal authority, build commitment to change, manage dependencies and trade-offs, and hold contributors accountable for agreed deliverables.
- Build performance reporting using balanced input and output KPIs, diagnose root causes through data and market feedback, and translate findings into recommendations that improve scalability, productivity, retention, investment efficiency, and profitability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in strategy and operations, commercial or revenue operations, consulting, account management, customer success, or a comparable field, preferably in a global or regional environment.
- A strong track record of designing scalable operating frameworks, processes, or playbooks and translating them into successful multi-market execution.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience defining KPIs, structuring ambiguous business questions, developing business cases, and turning data into clear decisions.
- Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of revenue drivers, merchant economics, investment efficiency, retention, pricing, and profitability.
- Excellent project, programme, and change-management capabilities, with experience coordinating complex initiatives, managing dependencies and risks, and measuring adoption.
- Exceptional stakeholder-management and influencing skills, with the ability to build coalitions, resolve competing priorities, and challenge senior stakeholders constructively without relying on formal authority.
- A hands-on, ownership-driven approach, strong organisational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced matrix organisation.
