Your Mission

As senior Accountant, your mission will be to provide comprehensive financial oversight, ensuring the organization's financial health and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This involves meticulous management of financial records, analysis of financial data, and preparation of reports that inform strategic decision-making. You will play a crucial role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, helping to guide the company's financial strategy and operational decisions. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing payroll, overseeing tax filings, and conducting audits to ensure financial integrity and transparency. Leveraging your proficiency in financial analysis and management, you will play a pivotal role in fostering the company's expansion, enhancing profitability, and securing its financial stability over the long haul.

What You’ll Do

• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and prepare detailed reports to inform strategic decision-making. This includes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the company's budgeting process, including forecasting financial outcomes and analyzing variances to support business planning.
• Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations. Coordinate and lead internal and external audits to maintain financial integrity.
• Tax Preparation and Filing: Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international and local tax laws.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of all accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies in financial statements.
• Financial Strategy Development: Assist in the formulation of financial strategies and policies to enhance the company's financial health and operational efficiency.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, including receivables and payables, to optimize the company's financial position.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial insights and recommendations effectively to internal and external stakeholders, including management, investors, and audit committees.
• Payroll Management: Administer payroll processes accurately and timely, ensuring all employees are paid in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Bank Transfers and Transactions: Oversee and manage bank transfers and transactions, ensuring all financial movements are accurately recorded and reconciled.

What we're looking for in our next teammate: 

• Professional Experience: Candidates should have at least 5+ years of proven experience in accounting or finance, with a preference for candidates who have experience in a senior accounting role. 
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional accounting certification is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ZohoBooks, Merit Aktiva, or HansaRaama) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with financial analysis and forecasting tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Thorough understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other relevant accounting standards and practices.
• Ethical Conduct: High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical financial practices and confidentiality.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with other departments to achieve financial objectives and support company-wide goals.
• Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated on new accounting regulations, trends, and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
• Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of tax laws and compliance requirements relevant to the company's operations. Experience with audits, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Language Skills: You possess strong proficiency in English, Russian, and Estonian, with each language at a minimum of an intermediate level.
