Responsibilities:
As the QA Team Lead at Wallester, you will guide and manage a team of QA engineers, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality software. Your role involves planning, organizing, and supervising the entire quality assurance process to meet deadlines and uphold standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve key QA objectives and performance metrics.
In addition, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the team’s practices—whether by introducing new procedures, refining workflows, developing training initiatives, updating role definitions, or setting measurable performance goals.

What will you do?
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, support, and regular performance feedback.
- Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and processes that ensure product quality and align with release cycles.
- Oversee manual and automated testing across web and mobile systems.
- Ensure test coverage and risk-based testing are effectively applied across features and services.
- Coordinate regression testing, performance testing, and security validation where appropriate.
- Define and track quality KPIs and use insights to drive improvement.
- Act as a bridge between QA, Product, and Development teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date test documentation, bug reports, and QA process guidelines.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new QA team members as needed.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance
- 2+ years of experience in leading a quality assurance team
- Good knowledge of Python, pytest, Appium/Playwright/Cypress or similar frameworks
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Good English and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you can adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and coaching team members
