Piping Design Engineer

• Experienced Piping Design Engineer for large-scale Data Center projects across Europe.
• The role covers hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, equipment selection, piping layout development and Revit-based mechanical piping design.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing for mechanical piping systems
• Select pumps, valves and other mechanical equipment
• Develop and optimize piping layouts and routing solutions
• Create and maintain coordinated piping designs using Revit
• Review technical specifications, design criteria and project requirements
• Coordinate piping design with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Consider pipe supports, expansion, accessibility, maintainability and constructability in design development
• Proactively identify design risks, missing information and coordination conflicts
• Deliver assigned scope within agreed deadlines and engineering budgets

• Typically 5+ years of relevant piping design experience; exceptional candidates with demonstrably strong technical capability may also be considered
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing and mechanical piping system design
• Experience in pump, valve and equipment selection
• Proven experience in piping layout and routing development
• Strong Revit design skills
• Ability to develop piping systems from design criteria and hydraulic concept through coordinated detailed design
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned scope
• Ability to identify missing or conflicting information, raise it early and obtain the required clarification
• Understanding of the full engineering and construction process and project interdependencies
• Previous Data Center or other complex mission-critical project experience is a strong advantage, but not essential
• Proactive communication, problem-solving mindset and excellent English skills
