Playtech’s Live group is responsible for developing a premium casino product offering an unparalleled entertainment experience that customers can enjoy from the comfort of their own homes. The Live group is truly international – developers, testers, analysts and designers are located in multiple locations around the globe.
The mobile product is an extremely important part of our offering, receiving major focus in recent years and becoming a core part of the product – with this focus evident in trade shows, customer requests, and a paradigm shift in customer behavior.
We’re looking for Operations Specialist, who will provide support, troubleshooting and constant improvement of the Playtech Live products. Operations Specialist will be working closely with Development and many other Playtech delivery units, Service Operations and Infrastructure units to ensure smooth work of all supported services in Live customers’ environments.
- Detecting and fixing errors in Playtech software
- Solving support requests and updating the support requests with relevant information and status change
- Giving high-level technical support to the Technical Support Specialists and other teams of the company
- Organizing that a solution is found to the technical problem of the client
- Inclusion in on call rotation.
- Knowledge and skill of programming in Java (Java core, I/O, JDBC)
- Working knowledge of SQL (Oracle preferable)
- Ability to read the code written by others
- Ability to understand and detect errors and to write fixes, if necessary
- Knowledge about Unix-like operating systems, Linux is preferred
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, subnetting etc.
- Punctuality and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good problem solving skills
- Good time management skills
- Good English language both written and spoken
- Good communication skills with positive team attitude
• Sparc systems administration
• Experience with VMWare software
