Job Description

Position Overview: The Merchandise Production Assistant at ZA/UM Atelier plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of our merchandising brands. This position involves a blend of creative collaboration, logistical management, and inventory oversight, making it ideal for individuals who are passionate about design and clothing, and thrive in dynamic environments.

Short term: 6 months, starting February 2024

  • Direct Report and Department Oversight: Actively work under the department lead, managing and overseeing daily activities and workflows within the department to ensure smooth operations.
  • Liaison with Design and Publishing Teams: Serve as the key point of contact between the merchandise production department and the design team, as well as the publishing unit, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Communication with Manufacturers: Maintain regular and effective communication with manufacturing partners to oversee production processes, ensuring that all products meet ZA/UM Atelier's quality standards and timelines.
  • Sales and Shipping Oversight: Manage and oversee the sales process, including the efficient shipping of goods. Ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Logistics Management: Handle logistics responsibilities, including coordination of transportation, storage, and distribution of merchandise.
  • Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of inventory, track stock levels, and implement inventory control measures to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
  • Product Development: Play a pivotal role in the development of new merchandise items, contributing to idea generation, design input, and production oversight.

  • Communication Skills: Possess great verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with various teams and external partners.
  • Professionalism and Teamwork: Demonstrate a professional attitude and the ability to work considerately within a team environment.
  • Self-Motivation and Learning: Show a high degree of self-motivation and continually seek opportunities for learning and self-improvement.
  • Organisational Skills: Exhibit excellent organisational abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Independence: Ability to work effectively and make decisions independently, demonstrating initiative and responsibility.
  • Background in Sewing/Fashion/Textiles: While not mandatory, a background or experience in sewing, fashion, or textiles is a plus.
  • Language: Estonian, English
