Job Description

We are looking for a Linux & Unix System Administrator (based in Tartu and Tallinn). The administrator’s main job is the management of Playtech’s global infrastructure and private cloud.

The right candidate for Linux & Unix System Administrator position is capable of managing mission-critical hardware and software solutions in complex, multi-part environments with high SLAs, including central infrastructure services, third-party services integrated into PT solutions, and custom in-house tools.

The position involves close daily cooperation with specialists in other areas (networking, storage, etc.), as well as various Playtech product development teams around the world.

You will have the opportunity to participate and actively influence the design and improvement decisions of the infrastructure platform and technical solutions.

The Infrastructure Business Unit is the central provider of state-of-the-art IT infrastructure platform solutions to Playtech’s B2B customers. Our customers can trust us with running the IT infrastructure of their gaming environments so they can focus on running their primary activities. Together with other operational units we are responsible for 24/7 support and continuous improvement of our platform solutions. In parallel to daily operational work Infrastructure Business Unit runs R&D activities, enhancing the infrastructure platform constantly by using modern technologies and approaches.

Main responsibilities:
-24/7 maintenance of Linux and Unix based environments (configuration, troubleshooting, automation, documentation)
-Participation in infrastructure-related development projects.

Requirements

-At least 3 years’ prior experience in maintaining large and complex infrastructural solutions
-Fast learning ability
-Good communication skills, ability to work in an international and dynamic environment
-Good written and verbal Estonian and English skills
-A sense of responsibility, flexibility, good stress tolerance

Beneficial skills:

-Certificate proving deep Linux skills (LPIC-3, RHCE or equivalent)
-Prior experience in administering Oracle Solaris 10+
-Good knowledge of VMWare products (vCenter, ESXi, Operations Management)
-Good knowledge of middleware products (Apache, PHP, JVM, JBoss, Tomcat)
-Prior experience with databases (Oracle, MySQL)
-Knowledge of various programming languages
