INSENER / ENGINEER

LTH Baas is building up an engineering unit that offers basic and detail design in ship structures, systems and interior. We are looking for engineers with relevant ship design experience, but you are also welcome to send us your CV if you are an expert in HVAC, piping, systems, machinery, electrical, structural or interior design without the marine experinece.

Job Description
The job includes
• participating in basic and detail design of ship structures, systems or interior;
• carrying out relevant calculations and creating technical documentation including drawings, reports and specifications that comply with standards, rules and regulations;
• communication with shipyards, ship owners and material suppliers for smooth cooperation,
• site visits, etc.

A good candicate has:
• education and work experience in engineering field;
• advanced AutoCAD (or other similar software) skills;
• ability to read and create technical drawings, specifications and reports;
• ability to create basic design and carry out relevant calculations in his/her engineering discipline
• ability to find relevant info about standards, rules and regulations;
• good English in speaking and writing;
• good communication skills and ability to tolerate stress;
• enthusiasm and will to learn new things.

Additional advantages:
• Education and work experience in ship design;
• Knowledge of following ship design softwares- Aveva, Cadmatic, Napa;
• Knowledge of any of the following FEM sofware- Femap, Ansys, Abaqus;
• Knowledge of Estonian and Russian language.
