Senior Game Developer / Frontend Engineer

Foxium Studio is looking for a strong Game Developer / Frontend Engineer to join our talented and creative team.

This role is ideal for strong frontend engineers who enjoy working close to graphics, performance optimisation and interactive systems, and want to have real ownership over the technical implementation of games. You will collaborate closely with artists, backend teams, QA to deliver visually rich, technically solid gaming experiences. For senior candidates, the role also includes technical leadership and architectural influence within the game development pipeline.

MUST HAVE:

• 3+ years of solid JavaScript development experience
• Solid understanding of programming paradigms and software design principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience building interactive web applications or games
• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience working in a collaborative development team
• Ability to take ownership of technical solutions

GOOD TO HAVE:

• Experience creating applications with a Node.js-based toolchain
• Experience with game or rendering frameworks such as PixiJS, Phaser, CreateJS, Cocos2D, Three.js, Babylon.js
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices
• Experience with test-driven development and JavaScript testing tools
• Interest in improving development processes and exploring new technologies
