Front-End Web Developer (for a UK Company)

Work from home in Tallinn as part of a small, highly skilled, virtual team.

Working as a key member of a small predominantly UK based team, you will be an autonomous self-starter eager to push the boundaries on a wide range of projects ranging from responsive Magento store builds to instore POS applications. You'll work directly alongside the managing partners (who still keep a hand in the code!) and our back end guys.

You will relish the challenges presented by the unusual; we build bespoke solutions, like the JavaScript/Canvas packaging customiser we built for Glenfiddich. As time progresses, you'll have the opportunity to become more involved with the business side of our operations and take advantage of generous profit share schemes. We do not have a typical "boss" / "employee" ideology. You'll never feel like someone is breathing down your neck, here.

Required:

Excellent, fluent, spoken and written English
Initiative. You'll be given autonomy, and expected to use it!
Demonstratable Magento Front-end Knowledge (xml structure, css architecture)
Demonstratable knowledge of Responsive Design Methodology/Architecture
Good client communication skills
Working knowledge of Object Oriented PHP
Excellent JavaScript and jQuery
Excellent HTML/CSS
SASS
Comfortable working in a Git environment

Strongly desirable:

Some knowledge of SilverStripe CMS
Canvas / JavaScript animations
LAMP stack knowledge
Solid command line skills
Front end optimisation
