Job Description
We at DANX BALTICS are looking for a Freight Forwarder!
Freight Forwarder is responsible for the daily forwarding, coordination, and commercial follow-up of DANX customer shipments to and from Baltics.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure that every shipment is planned, booked, documented, transported, and delivered according to the customer's requirements, while maintaining high service quality and strict control of transport costs.
Position will be in our Tallinn office, with possibility of working from home. Position requires occasional travelling within Baltics, especially during onboarding, but also later.
Main duties and responsibilities of this position are:
- Having overall responsibility for assigned forwarding activities and shipments.
- Receiving, managing, and creating bookings, and checking that shipments contain the correct information before transportation.
- Ensuring goods are correctly labelled and accompanied by the required shipping documents.
- Entering and maintaining accurate shipment information in internal systems.
- Planning traffic according to customer requirements and agreed delivery dates, and ensuring the right goods arrive at the right place on the right day.
- Monitoring deviations, delays, missing information, damages, and other operational issues, and taking immediate action when a shipment is at risk.
- Booking trucks and coordinating transport capacity and loading and unloading requirements.
- Ensuring efficient load planning and load optimization.
- Searching for available capacity within the existing network and identifying suitable goods for that capacity.

- IT:
System experience of working with M365 package, different programs, Spreadsheets and cybersecurity.
- Geographical knowledge:
Baltics and Poland. Understanding geographical data, to be able to evaluate and present it as evidence.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Education in logistics and transportation:
Desired, helps you deep-dive into your new role faster, but isn´t an essential qualification for the role: your mindset is what takes you further.
