Job Description

You will work in a research and development team with motivated people from different skill areas to develop products for the electric mobility sector. We focus on power electronic products for battery pack / module / cell testing and for e-vehicle charging. This includes devices like battery testers and cell testers, among others. Your main task will be modelling of control systems and development of controller for embedded FPGA and processor platforms.

 

  • Technical responsibility for the development of control systems for power electronic converters (power ranges - 2 kW to 500 kW)
  • Technical coordination of an interdisciplinary and international team
  • Development and implementation of controllers for power electronic converters in DSP/FPGA
  • Validation of the implemented real-time controllers in the real hardware 
  • Promotion of young engineers in the team and technical support
  • Appropriate and relevant technical advice to project management as required

Requirements

 Completed studies (Bachelor/Master/PhD) in electrical engineering, power electronics, mechatronics, control engineering with relevant industrial experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience or PhD
  • In-depth knowledge of various power electronic converter topologies and their control strategies
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, LTSpice
  • Knowledge of TI DSPs, Xilinx FPGAs, C/C++ and VHDL
  • Willingness to moderate business travel

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €60,000.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
