About the Role:

We're looking for a Chief Compliance Officer to join us. You'll oversee our compliance team, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards while establishing frameworks to navigate the regulatory landscape, with a primary focus on updating and supporting our VASP license under MiCA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the compliance team, driving excellence and proposing process improvements to enhance efficiency. Provide guidance and training to staff, ensuring a culture of compliance throughout the organization;
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and requirements, including monitoring and analyzing transactions for any suspicious activities;
• Lead the update of the CASP license under MiCA regulation and supporting it;
• Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and risk management strategies to safeguard our operations. Assess and report AML/CFT and sanctions risks associated with client/partner relationships and transactions, keeping the management informed;
• Serve as an advisory and contact person with regulatory authority: Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA), fostering a collaborative relationship to ensure compliance with all legal obligations;
• Conduct regular checks and assessments to identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate closely with other departments and auditors to integrate compliance processes into our business operations;
• Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes, adapting compliance strategies and policies accordingly to maintain our competitiveness;
• Take an active part in various international projects of the Company and affiliated entities. In particular, be involved in operations of a Swiss entity;
• Undertake any other compliance-related duties as mandated by law, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic regulatory environment.

• Bachelor's degree in law, finance, banking, business administration, math or other related field, advanced degree preferred;
• Proven compliance experience (minimum 3 years) in the financial sector, ideally within crypto, investment or fintech;
• Proven leadership experience;
• Fluency in Estonian (native or C1 level) and English (C1 level);
• Deep understanding of compliance related regulatory frameworks, including MiCA, AML/CFT and sanctions related regulations;
• Strong leadership capabilities to drive a compliance excellence and inspire teams. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement;
• Analytical mindset to navigate complex regulatory landscapes with precision;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make independent decisions;
• Estonian citizenship or residency with eligibility to work in Estonia;
• Transparent and clean background.

As an advantage:

• Additional certifications such as CAMS or ICA will enhance your credibility;
• Previous experience in communication with FSA and/or FIU;
• Previous experience with “fit and proper” procedure with FSA/FIU;
• Proficiency in other languages.

Salary:
