AML/KYC/MLRO officer

We are looking for a talented, dedicated and adaptable to new FIU requirements individual to sit as MLRO and Compliance for one of our client (crypto) virtual currency company.

• Sit as an Estonian FIU approved person undertaking MLRO position in (crypto) virtual currency company.
• Oversee, maintain and develop the (crypto) virtual currency company’s financial crime prevention strategy. This will include and is not limited to maintaining the (crypto) virtual currency company’s anti-money laundering, international sancion and counter-terrorist financing policy.
• Along with the board of directors, maintain a top-down compliance culture along with maintenance of policies.
• Head up, curate and manage the KYC & (crypto) virtual currency exchange monitoring procedures.
• Develop internal procedures in line with the latest regulations and (crypto) virtual currency industry requirements in Estonia
• Document, review and audit the (crypto) virtual currency's risk-based AML and compliance strategies.
• Ensure all internal suspicious activity reports are investigated appropriately and passed on to relevant Estonian authorities if needed.
• Ensure the team and all staff comply with relevant policies and procedures.
• Provide Management information to the board, analyzing internal trends and risks in relation to the prevention of financial crime.
• Represent the firm in relation to third parties and regulators, such as Estonain FIU.
• Consult, structure, define and manage partners/clients on KYC/AML related projects and processes.

• 3+ years (minimum requirement) in a similar role, ideally in Fintech, Bank or other financial institution. 
• University degree in legal, finance or business administration.
• International or local AML/KYC certification or/and courses.
• Permanent residence in Estonia.
• Excellent Estonioan and English language skills.
• Russian speaking would be a bonus.

• Salary range 2200 – 2500 EUR gross or depends on your qualification
