Accounting Manager

As part of the development of Rail Baltica, one of Europe's largest infrastructure projects, we are looking for a Accounting Manager to support the financial management of our operations in Estonia.

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the International CFO based in Paris, you will be responsible for the accounting, financial reporting and compliance of the Rail Baltica project operations in Estonia. This is a unique opportunity to join a major international infrastructure project and contribute to the successful delivery of a key strategic investment connecting the Baltic States with the wider European rail network.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

• Ensure accurate bookkeeping and compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes
• Maintain project cost structures, analytical accounting and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with Group reporting requirements and deadlines

Finance Operations & Controls

• Oversee supplier and subcontractor accounting, including retention guarantees and payments
• Review payroll-related accounting and controls
• Monitor financial commitments and support project cost control activities
• Support the implementation and optimisation of the Group ERP system

Tax & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Estonian tax and social regulations
• Coordinate VAT, withholding taxes and statutory reporting
• Act as the primary contact with local tax authorities when required

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Prepare financial reporting for Project Management, Group Finance and project partners
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, legal advisors, consolidation teams and tax specialists
• Monitor bonds, guarantees and other project-related financial obligations
• Support finance-related administrative and compliance matters

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• At least 7 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and tax compliance
• Experience in project-based, construction, infrastructure, industrial or engineering environments is an advantage
• Experience working within an international group structure is considered a strong plus
• Fluent English
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Salary: 3500 - 5000€ gross per month depending on experience and qualifications
