Job Description
- Oversee all marine and HSEQ matters for assigned vessels to ensure effective implementation of company systems and procedures.
- Provide operational support on marine assurance, navigation, and cargo handling.
- Follow up on incident investigations, inspection, and audit findings; develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure timely and proper closure of deficiencies and observations.
- Conduct shipboard visits and internal audits to verify compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable maritime regulations and best practices.
Requirements
- Seagoing experience as a Senior Deck Officer (Chief Officer or Master).
- Previous shore-based experience as a Superintendent will be considered an advantage.
- Strong understanding of marine industry regulations, including ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.
- Proven ability to assess operational risks and implement practical safety solutions.
- Good organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for ship visits and audits.
