As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you plan and develop tools to automate and monitor the implementation of security requirements. You will research and develop innovative methods, tools, and approaches to enhance internal security, keeping in mind Telia needs and technological developments in the world.

You support and collaborate with IT teams and architects and contribute to increasing the level of security and innovation within Telia Estonia.

To do this, you will be helped by the technologies and experience of world-class manufacturers, as well as your helpful colleagues on the spot and throughout the Telia Company Group.

In this ever-changing environment, we need a person who dares to challenge what exists and is aimed at simplification and automation. You are focused on continuous improvement and have strong analytical and research skills.

When doing something manually takes more than 5min you prefer scripting it.  Sometimes you complete your Linux configuration finetuning task in a dream, so you are full of fresh ideas when you wake up.

While this job is more hands on and technical, you also understand basic principles of security management process and have strong project management skills.

To really enjoy your work here, you need to be open-minded, cooperative, and not afraid of change. 

Your experience and skills:

• Experience in a similar position.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• Experience in piloting and deploying new technologies in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with API integration and automation tools.
• Experience with security platforms and tools like firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
• You are proficient in some programming language/-s useful for creating security related tools or for automating existing ones. Such as Python and/or PowerShell.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain security tools and applications.
• Good understanding of network protocols and security vulnerabilities
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Fluent in English and Estonian (spoken and written).
