IT Security Specialist

As an IT Security Specialist at Mercans, you will be pivotal in protecting our digital infrastructure and sensitive data from various cyber threats. You will work alongside a team of dedicated professionals to develop, implement, and maintain robust security measures. This role requires a proactive approach to security, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to ethical practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as an IT Security Specialist or similar role.
• Experience with firewall and intrusion detection/prevention protocols.
• Strong understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact.
• Proficient in risk management, data privacy practices, and IT security protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including information security, building security, and defense solutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and secure architecture.
