Job Description

Analyzing the daily flow of goods and services and advising on tax matters in both EU and non-EU jurisdictions in which Gunvor operates, ensuring full compliance with all local and internationally applicable tax rules;
Ensure accurate and timely submission of Indirect tax returns;
Testing VAT auto-determination module in ETRM system, understanding the reasons of errors, reporting and fixing those;
Building automated VAT controls together with other team members;
Providing day-to-day tax support to different teams with the main focus on indirect tax matters (VAT, customs, excise);
Supporting with tax research for new business ventures in different jurisdictions all over the world and liaising with external advisors;
Assisting with improving the group’s tax procedures and keeping up with the ever-changing tax regulations.

Has university degree with tax/finance/economics or similar background;
Few years’ experience working for Big4, tax authorities or any similar entity is advantage but not strictly required;
Is interested and motivated to learn about taxation;
Is accustomed to multitasking, prioritizing and meeting tight deadlines;
Has excellent written and verbal English communication skills;
Is curious and enthusiastic, unafraid to ask questions;
Is independent, self-driven worker with an eye for details.
