Product Owner

Position Purpose:

The Product Owner (PO) serves as a visionary and strategist for the company’s product development efforts. The PO is responsible for defining, planning, tracking, and managing specific products. The PO possesses an in-depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the projects and works with the development teams to achieve these.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Vision and Strategy:
• Communicate the product vision and strategy effectively to teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a clear and coherent product roadmap.
• Backlog Management:
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the development team understands the work to the level needed.
• Clearly articulate user story requirements and the expected outcomes.
• Development Collaboration:
• Participate in relevant meetings, including planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with the development teams, providing them with the business context and customer perspective.
• Quality Assurance:
• Accept or reject work results, ensuring deliverables meet the defined acceptance criteria and quality standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for quality control and feature acceptance.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders.
• Ensure a balance between user needs and business goals.
• Technical Leadership (for Technical Product Owner):
• Represent the product in corporate architectural discussions.
• Facilitate technical forums to ensure the viability of solutions.

• Deep understanding of the target market and user base.
• Proven experience in product management methodologies.

• Ability to motivate and drive development teams.

• Ability to conduct trade-off analysis and make decisions under pressure.
