Gaming Creative Director

The Creative Director oversees the comprehensive creative direction of a new Avatar Gaming Project. In this pivotal role, he/she is responsible for shaping the service's overarching creative vision. This includes, but is not limited to, the creation of the worldview, development of the concept, crafting of the service storyline, defining characters, implementation of service mechanics, and conducting a thorough analysis of user experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Analysis and Communication:

• Analyze diverse aspects and objectives of the game, articulating them clearly to creative teams.
• Develop and implement a global vision encompassing visual effects, theme, context, and gameplay in alignment with product vision.
• Produce rich and clear documentation of gameplay, narrative, and general aspects of the game for production.

Creative Vision Development:

• Shape the creative vision of the game, ensuring alignment with the overall product vision.
• Participate in proposal development and present a comprehensive global user experience report to the headquarters.

Project Oversight:

• Engage in project follow-up meetings across all phases (pre-production, production, live).
• Write detailed documentation with visual references, providing clear direction to the team.
• Anticipate and identify problems and bottlenecks - and define plans to solve them.
• Arrange playtest, assess the results, and provide feedback to integrate improvement.

Team Management:

• Recruit and manage a dynamic design team, including art and UI designers.
• Supervise the development team to integrate the creative vision seamlessly into all aspects of the production.

Production Planning & Quality Assurance

• Smooth collaboration to develop a comprehensive production schedule for the design and production process.
• Ensure game graphics, sounds, and text meet high-quality standards and function correctly.
• Utilize strong storytelling skills to create compelling characters and plots that enhance the gaming experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 7+ years of game development experience, with 5+ years of art direction experience

Graphic Design:

• Proficient in Photoshop at a professional level.
• Mastery of Illustrator for advanced graphic design.
• Mastery of Figma | Perforce | Blender | Maya | ZBrush
• Confluence | Miro | Notion

Technical Proficiency:

• Expertise in Unity software.
• Expertise in Unreal Engine.

SKILLS:

• Excellent English skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independetly and lead an international team.

Leadership and Management:

• Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse creative team.
• Ability to present ideas effectively to stakeholders.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and industry trends.
• Proven track record of bringing innovative ideas to fruition in the gaming space.
