Job Description

Do you want to make people happy without ever seeing them? As the UI TECH LEAD, you have that chance by being part of designing easy-to-use, functional interfaces that bring a smile to everyone who interacts with the remotes of our platforms whether they are veteran soldiers or newbie firefighters. 

 What you'll be doing: 

  • Leading a team of front-end developers to develop new features and build reusable code for future applications.
    • Driving their domain by creating technical direction for the team, setting development goals, and achieving them with the team.
    • Guiding and coordinating team development efforts towards successful on-time delivery together with the Engineering Manager and other supporting roles (such as Architects and PMs).
    • Supervising the team from a technical perspective, guiding through technical challenges, leading code reviews, and overseeing the development implementation process.
    • Cultivating a strong team culture by leading by example, promoting professional growth, and facilitating knowledge-sharing activities.
    • Identifying areas of improvement, ensuring that development processes within the team are effective and that best practices are utilized.
  • Participating in project scope analysis and providing resource estimations.
  • Serving as the main technical point of contact for other teams and collaborating with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading technical teams. 
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and architecting web applications, demonstrating proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks/languages, and a solid understanding of reactive state. 
  • A good understanding of full-stack software development. 
  • Proficiency in CSS, HTML, and TypeScript. 
  • Expert knowledge of some modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js, React, NodeJS – we use Vue.js), and tooling such as Webpack.
  • Familiarity with Python.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented leadership.
  • Outstanding analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in English.
  • Estonian language skills (preferred, but not required).
